Leave a Legacy
flowers Many park supporters and visitors make gifts to preserve the Bay Area’s beautiful national parks for future generations. Please consider joining these extraordinary individuals and leave a legacy to support our parks. Not only will you have the satisfaction of making an important contribution to the future of your favorite national parklands but your legacy commitment will entitle you to special benefits as a lifetime member of the Silver Lupine Circle.

Benefits of membership in the Silver Lupine Circle include:
  • Acknowledgment in Parks Conservancy publications such as the annual report and in the quarterly Gateways, inspiring others to make a similar commitment,

  • Invitations to special events throughout the year, such as our annual native plant nursery morning,

  • Quarterly insider letters that inform you of interesting and important happenings in the parks, and

  • A special gift of a book or a silver lupine plant.

If you already have included the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy in your estate plans, please let us know so that we may include you in the Silver Lupine Circle…our proper and personal thanks to you.

We welcome your interest in and questions about our planned giving program. We’d be happy to talk with you or send you information about how your legacy gift can benefit you and your estate as well as the Golden Gate National Parks and its visitors. Feel free to contact us – your inquiry will remain confidential, and there is no obligation.

There are many different ways in which you can give to the Golden Gate National Parks. For more information on each gift type, please click on the following links:

Donor Profile: Elizabeth Rieger
“I included the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy in my will because I wanted to make plans for the organizations I really care about,” says Elizabeth Rieger, longtime Parks Conservancy volunteer.

A New York native, Elizabeth worked for Standard & Poor’s before enlisting in the Air Force during the Korean War. After eleven years at posts in the U.S. and France, she came to California as a master sergeant. Choosing to stay in the Bay Area after her discharge, she earned both undergraduate and masters degrees from Golden Gate University on the G.I. Bill.

Elizabeth traded in her 9-to-5 job for several volunteer positions in 1976, and has become one of the Parks Conservancy's closest friends in her fifteen years as a volunteer. She grew to love the parks through a City College biology class that made trips to Crissy Field. Today, Crissy Field is still her favorite, and she volunteers close by at the Parks Conservancy headquarters, where staffers always hope to hear a tale of high adventure when she’s around.
